India is an independent country since 15th of August 1947.
India has suffered a lot because of the more than 500 years ruling of the Mughals and a 100 year ruling of British. Both have plundered the country’s resources and made it poor.
Indian freedom fighters have made their immense contribution in making India free from the reign of Britain.
The people and the freedom fighters took various marches and processions against the British people and revolted against them to gain the independence of India which was much sought after.
We remember fondly various martyrs like Shaheed Khudiram Bose, Chandrashekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh who were the heroes of the freedom of India.
Mahatma Gandhi and various other leaders contributed a lot towards the freedom of India.
Even women from India were not behind.
The likes of Rani Laxmi Bai and Sarojini Naidu are fondly remembered for their immense contribution towards the freedom of India. Rani Laxmibai was the first freedom fighter who revolted against the British regime in the year of 1857.
After more than 100 years of fight against the British India got its independence and The First Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru hoisted the flag on the Lal Quila making history for India and the World.
His famous speech the Tryst with destiny is still fondly remembered when he said that “A new star rises, the star of freedom in the east, a new hope comes into being, a vision long cherished materializes.
May the star never set and that hope never is betrayed by!”
We feel proud that our country is progressing towards peace and prosperity and it is one of the biggest Democracies of the world.
Our country has its own constitution and we feel the pride to sing our National Anthem which is “Jana Gana Mana”. The country stands united and Unity in Diversity is the basic mantra which we have adapted.
The country now stands free from the evils of injustice done by the British and the Mughals. Now we are an independent country and every day we are inching hugely towards progress and soon India will be a super economic power.
The country has almost abolished caste discrimination and various other evils and together we Indians are marching towards progress.
Now the country is celebrating its 70th Independence day and we have become a prosperous and wealthy country. It is great to see that the Tiranga or the National flag of our country flutters with immense pride.
On the Independence day, Mr. Narendra Modi will give the speech from the rampants of Lal Quila and every Indian will be eager to know what does he say to his beloved Indians.
He is taking the country towards progress and prosperity and a new resurgent India is emerging under him. The country has developed a lot and we could see great development everywhere and in every field.
His various programs like “Make in India and Beti Bachao, beti Padhao” has bought a social and industrial revolution in the country. Soon we could see that in the years to come India will be a great country which will stand as an example to the rest of the world.
